Food For The Ears Society’s mission is to organize fundraising concerts, the largest being an annual one day festival called Food For the Ears, bringing awareness and vital resources to combat hunger, ultimately raising money for Feed Nova Scotia. Being musicians and music lovers ourselves, we hope to bring communities together for this important cause through the power of music and art, while striving to make a tangible impact in the fight against food insecurity in our home province.
Food For The Ears is a charity festival to benefit Feed Nova Scotia. FFTE 2025 will be on April 6th, 2025 at the Lighthouse Arts Centre starting at 2pm, doors at 1. This day festival will showcase local bands, songwriters, and art vendors while raising money for FeedNS.
Food For The Ears' mission is to support all hungry people province wide, at a time of crisis for people who need it! This is an annual event and we are projected to raise >$20,000 this year!
Food For The Ears originated as a Truro-local food bank fundraising initiative in 2023, and was organized by 16 year old Ethan Chitty. This is the first year of the event where musical acts from across the province will participate for the benefit of all of Nova Scotia on a grander scale by benefiting Feed NS!
In 2023, Food For The Ears was planned in only two months, and raised ~$2300.
In 2024, Food For The Ears was slightly expanded, and raised ~$3000.
Now, In 2025, we have officially registered as a nonprofit society, under the name Food For The Ears Society. We plan to raise more than $20,0000 this year!
